The food is always fresh. portion sizes are large and the staff are very friendly. I do like pasta carbonara and the beef burger, they have fresh fish and the streak is always cooked to the way you like it. We have been coming here for several years. The steaks are outstanding - the real stength of the kitchen. However, seafood is always good too. The ambiance and decor are very pleasing. What really brings us back, time after time, is the service - professional and attentive without ever being intrusive. Expect to pay around 70 for two courses, a bottle of wine and coffee. The early bird menu is fantastic value and there is a large range of options for each course, whether you only want two or three courses. I had the tastiest satay chicken skewers ever here, and could have eaten another plateful of them. The rest of the group were very happy with their food, which was incredibly nice for the price charged. The quality of the food and the excellent service by the manager really sets this restaurant apart. It can be very quiet during the week, so that may not appeal to so people, but for a quiet dinner guaranteed to be top notch, you can't find a better spot in Dun Laoghaire.
